How much do you charge?
This depends on a lot of factors including the number, type, size and condition of the windows; the location of the property and how accessible the windows are. The only way to give a definitive answer is for us to come out and give you a quote. This is free and there is no obligation to use our service.

How will you clean the windows?
We use a modern system called Waterfed Pole which uses purified water applied with a brush on the end of a pole. The dirt is softened, scrubbed and rinsed away and the windows are left to dry naturally. Because the water contains no minerals or other impurities, it dries without leaving any marks. This system enables us to work safely and efficiently whilst usually managing to avoid standing in flowerbeds or having to move too many things around to access the windows! We wash down the frames, sills and doors every time.

What day will you clean my windows?
We do not set particular days for most jobs. We aim to be regular, reliable and as close to our agreed frequency as possible, however our schedule must be fairly flexible to allow for harsh weather conditions, unexpected school closures, sickness, or for us to take an occasional family holiday. On these occasions all jobs will take a step back in the schedule, rather than some being missed out.
If you're worried that we've forgotten about you, please do get in touch and we'll be happy to let you know why there is a delay and when to next expect us.

What if I’m not in?
Don't worry: you don't need to be. We'll pop a card through your door to let you know that we've been and provide you with payment details.

Are you insured?
Yes! Scottish law requires all window cleaners to be licenced for the council area that they work in. Full insurance and a nod from the police are 2 of the requirements of successfully applying for a licence. If you'd like to see our licences, please ask. We always have them with us whilst working.

What area do you cover?
We cover Grantown and the immediate surrounding areas and villages. The map below gives a clearer idea of how far we travel. We have no current plans to extend our operations beyond this area.

You say you are eco-conscious, what steps do you take to look after the environment?
We care deeply about the environment and try to be mindful of our impact both at work and in our leisure time.
After much deliberation, we opted for a small petrol van over a bigger diesel. Having a smaller van means a smaller water tank and this requires us to plan strategically to ensure we can refill the water tank on bigger jobs. This in turn means that we carry our fancy filters with us, but it’s worth it to keep our emissions down.
Unfortunately, at the time Beccy was purchasing the new vehicle, there were no electric vans on the market able to accommodate the weight of a water tank. We’re really hoping that, by the time we come to replace the current van, that will be an option.
When planning our work pattern we are careful, as far as possible, to cover all jobs in one area at a time, thereby minimising our road miles and carbon footprint.
Bulb, our electricity supplier, obtain 100% of their power from renewables, so whether we’re charging batteries, keeping pipes from freezing or doing admin back at HQ, you can be assured that we’re using clean power.
Our usual window cleaning methods use purified water and no chemicals. When we do need to use a something extra we try to keep it to a minimum and make eco-conscious choices such as Ecover washing up liquid wherever possible.
